Day10 - Ride to San Lameer

"There is a lovely road that runs from Ixopo into the hills. These hills are grass covered and rolling, and are lovely beyond any singing of it." - Alan Paton.

From Creighton to Kokstad was the plan for the day. I wanted to run along the railway line again, but the service road was non-existent.
So I took the dirt road running past the Ntsikeni Forest.  I have been in this neck of the woods before whilst doing the Race2Rhodes and its impressive.
This is the entertainment center in Intsikeni and the Magents hair salon.
There were no police at this station.
Peaceful and idyllic existence
Stopping at a Spaza shop always elicits great interest.  Often a photo session is compulsory.
The second half of my ride I felt much better physically,  but I was pleased to see Kokstad 95km's later. Kokstad has a cathedral,  so I guess it is a city then.
I wanted to find accommodation on the outbound side of town in order to shorten the next days journey. I found the Mnt Currie Motel where I stayed. A hole. Overpriced and in need of some repair. Avoid it if you can.
I bought a pizza for supper from the Debonairs Express shop adjoining the the motel and fuel station. I missed pizza, my wife and my kids.
